Vildagliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor class of oral antidiabetic drugs used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. Vildagliptin is the only substance that can inhibit glucagon in both hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia. Aside from their use in type 2 diabetes, Vildagliptin have positive cardiovascular and anti-inflammtatory effects and Antidiabetic.
Glyptins are class of oral anti-hyperglycemic agents that inhibit dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4), which can act as a serine exopeptidase.
